Just to inform my audience following, I deleted my other posts due to viewing the story of the father who raped his 8 day-old. I decided I want to go in a different direction with my blog behind this. I hope that my posts are more serious mattered topics, with a few fun topics. Life isn't all fun, but life can have a little bit of fun. I call it fun in moderation. So stay tuned to more posts as I find more things to lend my beautiful opinion to.

"When will it end"?: The 18 year-old father who raped and beat his 8 day old little girl.
When I came across this story the first thing I saw in the video was Cameron Harper from channel 13 news reporting on a story, about a father that raped his newborn child. Of course my first thought was "I just can't get away from Memphis, can I"? Fox 13 is in Memphis, Tennessee where I was also born and raised; at the present time I live in Missouri. Naturally this is not the point of the blog, because this particular crime happened in Fayetville, Arkansas which is a 4 hour and 48 minute drive from Memphis. The point is the reaction and thought I had while viewing and after watching this horrific story. One thing I can say is that anyone who watches this video will say "What the hell", followed by a gaping mouth, guaranteed. And I'm not one to curse much either. Having said that, the after thought is "When will it end"?
Seriously, when will being raped end?!? Being raped is not some badge of honor or some girls only club thing. As a matter of fact I was shocked to know at such a late age that men get raped too. My first knowledge of this was through my then best friend, of course who was a guy, and at the time he revealed this to me I was just unaware. Having been raped and molested myself, I guess I never thought pass the woman as it pertains to being a rape victim. It's not like I was closed up in a closet somewhere without internet and the news, I just don't recall this topic as an issue pertaining to males growing up. I'm not diverting the topic, but the point is that rape is so prevalent and a major issue that it touches men and babies even. Also, I knew that children were raped, but I had never heard of a baby being raped until today. The fact that it was a baby really stopped me in my tracts. Because, as a general rule you are innocent and have not experienced the world at all. To go from innocence to your innocence being taken from you in under one week and a day is appalling, to say the least.
For the most part the thought of myself and others who viewed this video where the same as the comments on the video, which where to hands down go out and kill the man. I agree totally. But, we are in America a land of everyone gets their due process. To be blunt let's go to the heart of the matter as punishment is coming whether he wants it or not. The fact that he is going to be held in jail is a sure that he could possibly be killed from the inside, then you have to think if he has to be transferred to the courthouse someone on the outside could kill him. Which brings us to the actual punishment the courts would set for him. At the present time I have not looked up sentencing regulations for Arkansas, but rest assured it probably depends on what they charge him with. If they even think of charging this man with attempted murder, due to the beating the baby received, he can kiss his grits goodbye.
I would like to throw a little Islamic perspective into this story. Not that we ever know when the police will give all the information of the case, but according to the video there were other people in the house while this happened. I want so bad to bring up the fact that the mother was 15 years old; yes 15. I will have to come back to that, the point is was there 4 witnesses??? Islamically everyone knows you have to have four witnesses in a case like this, at least I would suppose. Allah knows best, but if so does that mean all the anger we feel towards this man justify anyone of us killing him without his "due process"? A very touch topic, but you can't help but to have the anger and bring the mob to kill him behind this.
Honestly I wonder when will rape end, because it in turn damages the victim for life. Of course we are yet to know the repercussion from this medically or mentally of this child till she becomes of age and understanding. However it is a good question an 18 year-old and a 15 year-old? It is obvious he must prefer the younger ladies, as it takes 9 months to wait on a child to be born, which means she had to been 14 when they had sex. Not to mention the thoughts that she could have been sexually active even before then. However, we don't know those facts, so let's stick to facts. The fact is this was wrong on so many levels to you want to kill this man to no end. I believe this story can bring the primordial man out of you, so to speak in reference to wanting to kill this man. The bigger problem is rape and this is something that needs to end or for know at least need to be curbed in numbers.
How do we end it? First I want to say if you are reading this and you have ever been raped I encourage you to turn the person in! Please get help, meaning counseling. I will say counseling and support groups may not be for everyone, as it wasn't for me, it's just different strokes for different folks as they say. I personally got over it through my faith in Allah (SWT) and the fact that I forgave the people that did what they did to me, besides in the end they are going to have to deal with Allah (SWT) in those matters. I know it may seem easier said than done. And I'm right, I have had flashbacks and trust issues, but I move on. You can't let an evil hold you back. SO I still get to smile everyday and say Alhamdulilah, that I have been blessed to move forward with my life. We must all strive to advocate for rape, it is something I have took a break from, because it can be very overwhelming depending on how deep in the trenches you are working with such an issue. But if you are strong any help you can lend to rape advocacy is a great thing. It will take the world educating and advocating to end rape.
